airpod pro sensitive microphone (too much noise while on calls)

I have Apple Airpods Pro. Is there a way I can change the microphone sensitivity for my phone calls/ie. when I'm speaking? Currently the mic picks up all noise surrounding my call -- the sound walking, birds chirping, a car driving by, etc.

To be succinct -- I would like to minimize the exterior noise the mic picks up during phone calls.
