my health app seems to be having trouble with my mileage over the last few days. Is this happening with anyone else?

I am walking the same steps and routes But getting significantly less mileage recorded. Did I miss an update?

Health app is miscalculating steps Hi! The Health app on my phone is definitely miscalculating the steps it’s recording. This past weekend my parents came to visit and we were walking around the same exact distance, theirs both recorded around 10.1 miles and mine was 8.2. I also sometimes pre calculate distances using Apple Maps and it’ll tell me it’s 1.1 miles to a certain location and when I check my Health app, it will have only recorded 0.7 miles or so. I feel like I’m being severely undercounted for some reason. I’ve updated to the latest iOS. My location services is on, as is Motion and Fitness. I’ve restarted my phone. I don’t know if there’s a way to calibrate the Health app. Has anyone noticed anything similar that they’ve resolved? Thanks in advance! :)

iPhone Health App distance is wrong Is there a way to fix the Health app being wildly off for distance? On October 21, 2022, the Health app stopped recording distance correctly. I know distance and steps are recorded differently, but stride calculated as distance divided by number of steps should be a reasonable value. Up to October 20, 2022, I was getting a consistent 26-27 inch stride. Since October 21, 2022, it has changed to a 7 inch stride. A plot is attached. I am certain my stride has not changed and I have not changed any settings on my iPhone or in the Health app.

Health App walking distance wildly underreported I've seen people complaining that the walking and running distance recorded by the Health app may be 10-15% off. I wish my iPhone was that accurate! I started with an iPhone 6. If I walked a hiking trail of 4km, the Health app would typically record about 1.5km. It bears no resemblance to reality. The step counter appears reasonable, but the distance is always far short of what I know I have walked. I gave up using the health app for distances. Now I've just got an iPhone 13. It's step count seems somewhere near the ballpark, maybe a bit short. It says I have a stride of 42cm. I walked a route of about 3.6km, and it reported less than 1km!! Two different iPhones with different hardware, iOS versions and software versions, but the same problem. How do I fix it?
