Replacement phone

Hi, my new iPhone 15 Pro Max had issues restarting itself when using apps, like Waze, camera app, x, etc.

Support asked me to restore the phone using iTunes, I did that, but the issue was not resolved, so I requested a new phone, and Apple sent me the replacement phone. What bothers me is that the phone they sent, has 9 battery cycles already, the manufacturer date of the battery is August 2023 and the phone was first used in October 2023.

is that normal for a replacement phone? I thought the battery would be new.

Thanks.

If you purchased the phone from Apple, you have 14 days to return the phone for a refund.

Replacement phones are not new. You received a refurbished phone with a new battery that was tested a few times before it was repackaged.
