I am having the exact same problem with the settlement form. Checking my device at apple.com shows no problem. It recognizes the number and knows the date purchased. Any idea what I should do next?
I wonder if this is something that will be corrected in time, since it's early yet.

It says it is valid but on the claim form it says it is not valid
I had the same problem...at first I couldn't figure out why my serial number on the box was different from the one on the phone until I saw your post. Both serial numbers numbers are showing not eligible. Apple phone support was a waste of time.
I have both a SE Second series and a Six Plus.
I have entered both serial numbers using O's and I's but also 0's and 1's. Neither is eligible according to the Canadian iPhone Power Management Class Action. I used the numbers off the boxes but haven't checked the actual phones.
I have emailed as per the Class Action page twice (April 5 and 16) and have not received a response. Surely we must be able to find out why.
No I'm not thinking of the TV settlement and I've already acknowledged the settlement is still going on in Canada and posted a link to the settlement page.
You'll need to reach out to whoever the claim settlement is thru for assistance. All we can guide you to is checking the serial number with Apple at Check your device's coverage (apple.com) to make sure it's showing valid in Apple's system first.
I had the same problem. Then I remembered that I had taken my phone in for service and it had been replaced. I needed to find the original serial number. Lucky for me I still had the box as I had used it for storage.
Maybe some of you had the same happen?
But on the form, it says September 2, 2024, is the deadline for the claim form submission.
It is called the Canadian iPhone Power Management Class Action
Ah, ok. Look at this page, there is a "contact us" link at the bottom of the page, perhaps they can help you.

Did you buy a phone in Canada that was distributed by Apple Canada?
Since the class action involved Apple Canada, perhaps the scope of the settlement is implicitly limited to phones sold and purchased in Canada.
I ran into the same problem with my 6S (which I still own). I checked the serial number reported by the Settings App on the phone using Apple's website and it said purchased in November 2015 but the claims site says the device is not eligible. I then compared it to the serial number on the box, which was different. Using the serial number on the box allowed me to file a claim however.
When I check the original serial number from the box on Apple's website it says it is for a device that has been replaced. So I guess the phone's internal serial number was changed when Apple replaced the battery in my original phone? If you can track down the serial number on the box or on receipt that might be more successful than relying on what the phone software is reporting.
I'm having the same issue. I have a theory to why. I think the phones which were bought from a carrier are ineligible. Only phones which were bought from an Apple Store are eligible. Is the one that didn't get approved bought from a carrier instead?
The deadline to file was in October of 2020, you have missed this by three and a half years.
