Unable to pair iPhone as Music remote with my MacBook pro (mid 2012 - Catalina 10.15.7 , Music V1.0.6.10)

When i try to pair my iPhone's remote app with my Mac book Pro's music app, I am unable to find the

devices tab in the Music app.

Home sharing is on in my Mac.

Both iPhone and Mac on same wifi.

"In the Music app on your Mac, click the Remote button below Devices in the sidebar, then type the 4-digit code."
