I need to update my phone
i deleted everything off I needed to get more storage and it’s still not letting me update my phone

What are you trying to update to?
How much free storage space do you actually have on your iPhone? Settings ➜ General ➜ iPhone Storage.
Do note that an iPhone 7 cannot update to iOS 16 or later. iOS 15.8.2 is the most current version it supports at this time.
