How to fix music cutting in and out on Mac Studio

i have a brand new Mac Studio, ** not with the monitor. If I either listen to Apple Music or Spotify, the music keeps cutting in and out. I have seen messages on here with the same issue when having the studio monitor, so it’s no the monitor, it’s the computer.

any ideas?

Sound drops out every few seconds and then returns. Making listening to music etc impossible! It seems that any sound source on my iMac Mini (a week old) seems to drop after a couple of seconds and then return. I have to say I was experiencing this on my Old MacBook Pro too. So, iTunes - start playing, 2 seconds in fades to nil for half a second then returns to full volume then after 2 seconds, does the same until I can bear it no longer. Looked on all the forums but most suggest upgrading my Mac - er, done that. No other Apple device in the house suffers this issue. Currently using a Samsung Frame TV as a monitor - but even if I play music/sound through the iMac speakers, the same happens... Any thoughts please?

How to fix Music app bugs on macOS Tahoe 26.0? What happened to the Music app? I can no longer get the status bar to show, pressing the "play" button will jump to a different song than selected. This is on both a MacMini with the M2 and MacAir M3 both running Tahoe 26.0 (25A354). And of course there is the issue of all this "dead" space at the top, a control "panel" that is small. First thing that comes to mind is a weak or slow Network connection.

to check go to > Use Wireless Diagnostics on your Mac - Apple Support

plus use > https://www.speedtest.net/ or https://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/

The second is Wi-Fi Interference from high speed USB cables, drives and other devices.

Lastly are you using the Mac Studios internal speaker, bluetooth speaker(s), USB speaker(s) or something else?
