Trying to print - saying printer is offline

I have a new router (eero) which I'm having trouble connecting my HP M29 printer to. So I thought I'll connect mac to printer with a cable which I thought would solve my router problem. It's saying printer is offline while it's connected with a cable.

What am I missing here?

This isn't a too uncommon problem when changing/updating router systems. Try resetting printer system (ctrl click on the printer control panel and select reset) then add your printer back.
