restore by time machine

My MBP 15" Retina latest 2013 doesn't detect ssd disk because it's damaged so I run recovery console (macOS utilities) using wifi network where I chose Restore from Time Machine Backup.

I type password of my Airport Time Capsule and choose my backup but if I continue It's shown this message:

a unexpected error occurred trying to open the backup. (Error 0)

Last time I'm sure time machine backup went right, perhaps this message occurs if no OSX disk is detected ?

Time Machine restore worked ONCE, but now seems broken, won't restore I startup in Recovery mode, try to restore from Time Machine backup, and it says no backups found. I am in DIRE need of a fix for this. I did this once (thanks to the kind direction of this Apple community), and it actually worked, but took 27 hours. I got a good reboot, and saw all my files back. Then the SSD failed again, and all went away. I reformatted the SSD again (hopeful, right?) but when I went to restore from Time Machine, it says No Backups found. They are there, I can see them in Finder, but the Recovery mode does not recognize them anymore. What are my options? Should I take the backup drive (a Seagate 4 TB drive) to an Apple Genius for diagnosis? I am willing to spend money to recovery my files, over 1 TB of music, photos, documents, data.

Prohibitive Sign during Time Machine restore I've had to replace the SSD drive in my mid-2015 Macbook Pro, and now I'm trying to restore a Time Machine backup. I went out yesterday, at the point where it estimated the process would take another nine hours to complete. I returned less than two hours later to find that it was now showing the prohibitive sign. It's possible, I guess, that the process completed and then it tried to re-boot, and the sign indicates that there was an issue with the OSX installation on that version of the backup, but that would make the nine hour estimate way out. I guess my next step is to do a hard reset, re-format the drive, boot into Internet Recovery mode again and try restoring from an earlier backup. Does anyone know what the problem might be, or where I go from here? Thanks in advance.

MBP returned from service and time machine is failing to restore Hi, I have a macbook pro returned from service and a time machine is failing to restore. I actually have two separate sources that time machine is backing up to. The message is "An error occurred while restoring from the backup." Could the problem actually be the MBP SSD drive that is failing? Is there any way to test the health of the system SSD drive? What other things should I be considering?
