Sharing appletv with Apple Family

I remember of my family group cannot access my Apple TV subscription. I’ve signed out and signed back in as they both have. But they can’t access it. It’s asking them to start a free trial. I see that people have had this problem in the past, but I don’t see a solution, any help?

Ask them to verify if they have signed in on their devices, or app, or site, with their Apple ID. The app wouldn’t know if access applies before signing in.

I forgot to mention earlier: In addition to the points in the previous reply, all members of a Family Sharing group must have Apple ID accounts for the same country.

Else please contact the Apple Support staff for further assistance. E.g. They may have tools to see where the issue lies by looking in the account administration.

A Family Sharing group will have an ‘organizer’, the one person in the group that does the invites. Is that you? Other group members can’t do invites. Once other users are invited to join, those use will have to accept that invite through their own Apple ID account. Do each of them have their own Apple ID? The organizer and the subscriber doesn’t have to be the same person.

Purchase sharing is optional, and doesn’t affect subscriptions. It also has additional requirements (organizer must have credit card on file, and will be billed for the group’s purchases).
