Can’t use airpod functions

So I dropped my AirPods on the ground and when I went to play music the left AirPod wouldn’t pause or play my music. The AirPod says it’s connected but it won’t work when I double tap it. I already tried resetting my phone, Forgetting device and reconnecting but nothing works.The weird part is the right AirPod also fell with the left but it works fine. Another thing is if I have both AirPods and the right one falls it disconnects or stop playing the music and continues playing on my phone but with the left AirPod it the music continues playing on the right AirPod like nothing disconnected.
