Can't delete card from Apple Wallet

I have a card that has been cancelled in my wallet and I want to delete it, but when I click on the card I get a message that verification is needed, but apple is unable to verify so it says to contact my provider who is no longer my provider as I have cancelled the card. I simply want to remove the card. whenever I click on the card System Setting just hangs and I have to force quit. How do I get rid of this card?

Do you have another payment method in the Wallet? If so, credit or debit card or what exactly?

The card I want to get rid of is not my default card. The card I want to delete is not an option for default card (It doesn't appear in the drop down list of card to make the default).
