iPhone 15 pro max Haptic Touch click noise

When pressing down on the screen & doing the Haptic Touch I hear a clicking noise. Haptics are set to never play, only lock sound & keyboard sounds are on. Even with the keyboard sounds & lock sound off I still hear a click sound on the Haptic Touch. The only time I don’t is when I have my iPhone in silence mode. Is this normal? is it supposed to make this clicking noise?
