So my MA in Cyber Security gives me a little bit of an advantage. Along with 15 years of federal security intelligence work. Then again, the Ph.D in Homeland security, military SIGINT certs, along with a few other civilian certs that go along with the various fields I've worked in. The vehicles are owned by me. The ex military/contractors and employees all of which know that under no circumstances are they to mess with the tags. It's called Security clearance work for a reason and they don't have the luxury of being dishonest about it. As, again, it's happened with my personal vehicles as well.
It is possible for it to disconnect on its own. Saying it can't happen, doesn't mean it won't. Because it obviously did.
I own the company, thus it's mine. Personal phone, personal Airtag, and yes ... I "own" the device and apple id. Obviously. All of which, I own, I have the rights to, and I manage. Doesn't happen on other similar "airtag devices", just the Apple products.
But yet, It happened. Not only to me, but many other people as it seems. As there are many others having the same issues.
