Bluetooth is unable to turn on

Just bought new airpods and am trying to connect them to my Macbook pro. It shouldn't be a problem with my airpods because I can connect them to my iphone 14. I bought this macbook in 2020. I have tried turning bluetooth on and off, updated my macOS to Sonoma 14.4.1, and just about everything. My bluetooth is still unable to turn on on my Macbook. Does anyone know how i can turn my bluetooth on?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 14.4

Troubleshooting Mac Bluetooth:

Four Things to Try:

A. Verify the Connection:

See if the speaker is even seen:

  1. Hold Down: the Option key
  2. Click: the Apple menu
  3. Select:: About this Mac...
  4. Click: System Report... button
  5. Select: Bluetooth (on the left of screen)
  6. Look For: this Speaker

B. Try Reseting the Core Audio:

Type the following command in Terminal:

sudo killall coreaudiod

C. Perform a SMC and NVRAM Reset:

Sometimes changes are made to the system(i.e. updates) and then settings (i.e. for Power) become manipulated, technically.  So, reset both the SMC and NVRAM on your Mac. (Applies to Intel-Bases Macs Only).

D. "Reset the Bluetooth Module":

See my User Tip: Use "Reset the Bluetooth module" to Fix Constant Bluetooth Disconnections - User Tip. Looking at my first comment on it, recommended to Apple that they bring this option back. They discontinued it on even macOS versions.

Using Bluetooth on a Different Device:

Unpair these from your iPhone. Then pair them to your Mac. Bluetooth devices cannot be paired with more than one device at a time.
