iPad mini not working correctly

I purchased a new iPad mini and transferred my data from my old to the new. I tried using it and the left side is completely unresponsive. I have to click it multiple times and turn the screen for it to work. I just opened it today and I’m not gonna lie, I'm a little ******. Am I going to have to switch it out for a new iPad? Is this fixable? I’ve heard other people with this problem but haven’t heard a solution. I’ve tried turning it off but that didn’t work. Does anyone have a solution?

Assuming that your iPad was purchased directly from Apple, you have benefit of 14-days within which to unconditionally return your iPad for exchange or refund. You should make use of this opportunity while you are able to do so.


Beyond 14-days, your iPad will be repaired or exchanged under Apple’s one-year limited warranty. Depending upon your country/region, you may have additional rights concerning available remedy.

If purchased from a third-party or Apple Authorised Retailer, if you suspect the iPad to faulty, you should seek redress under warranty as soon as possible.
