What is System Data on my iPhone 13 Pro Max?
Hello there I am an old user of iPhone since 6+ with 8GB of storage.
I am here asking this question, cuz when I get my iPhone 13 Pro Max a couple years ago I did not have this issue;
After updating my iPhone to iOS 17 I noticed that now I have less storage space for my personal information.
Cheking in Settings>General>iPhoneStorage
I see all in the bottom two sections
1: iOS (17.4.1) consuming 11.22GB
2: System Data consuming 13GB
If I am not wrong in the last version of iOS 15 or 16 Apple says that now the app developers should not force Apple iPhone users to not download all the languages when you download an app; Using less storage space.
Now my concern, is why Apple developers are using this (System Data) storage space?
I already read other articles saying that is space storage using by cache; for example: Safari, Messages, iMovie, etc.
if this is True… Why then Apple developers don’t show which Apple App is using this storage space?
When I go to
Settings>(Safari)(Messages)(iMovie)etc…> Clear History cache
Do not show how much storage space is using the Apple App
So, How can I delete that System Data?
1: Safari cache is deleted.
2: iMovie app is deleted.
3: Files in iPhone are deleted.
4: Text messages in Messages deleted.
All third party apps such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter appear on the list of storage use.
What is specific System Data?
