Cannot unzip iCloud zipped download

I asked Apple to prepare a copy of my Photo's to download them to my MacBook Pro. The files were made ready as zipped download files. When I download a file, it cannot be decompressed because of a wrong file structure? Is there any solution to this problem?

Unable to Unzip Photos from iCloud I am trying to download photos from iCloud to my iMac. Using https://www.icloud.com/photos/ I select the photos and then use the download button. Whether one photo or many this creates a .zip file on my mac. When I go to open that file I get a message "unable to expand iCloud Photos into (File Name). Error 2 no such file or directory". I tried installing another decompression app (called Decompressor) and that did not work either, another similar error message. What is wrong here?
