iPhone jumping to maximum value

this problem, logged by a host of others, is that the sound volume suddenly jumps to maximum, essentially blasting one through the roof. I have iOS 17.4.1 but this problem has been around for the past couple of updates. I like to fall asleep listening to music on iTunes, but cannot do this any longer for fear of damaging my ear drums. Apple-- this problem appears to have been around for awhile.... c'mon you guys, you can fix this!

Report this to Apple:

You're not the first to have reported this on these forums. Question is: "Just how many people have actually reported this to Apple?" These are just User-to-User forums. We are just everyday users like yourself. So, if you are having an issue, report it to Apple. Apple may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is occurring, and what bug fixes to include in updates to come. Apple will know nothing of this, if you don't report it to them.

  1. Go Here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
  2. Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
  3. Comment: that this all began after installing the latest update, and how you've troubleshot this, thus far. Include the URL of this thread
  4. Proceed from there as necessary
