Windows 11 Icloud App stuck on "Updating..."

I've accepted the transfer/store option in the app and its even pointing at a local address in the users picture folder, yet its not been created and claims its still "Updating...".

I only wanna detach the pictures from Icloud since itcloud is literal mess to have.

Why would Apple even provide an app that cant provide what it claims to any kind of OS if its deployed for these OS?

I am not using any OneDrive or so cuz i dodged that bullet at my intial windows install so thats not the issue here.

Is there literally any kind of fix to this since neither Apple or Youtube has a valid and actually working fix for this?
