Contacts corrupted by iCloud. Text added to email and notes

I imported a vCard into Contacts on my mac. A couple of days later this text was added, not by me, but by iCloud to the notes. This rouge text also appears in URL's anniversary fields and email addresses. This particular text was,

X-MS-OL-DEFAULT-POSTAL-ADDRESS:0X-MS-CARDPICTURE

the text added always starts with "X" but the rest can include the date of the card creation. Apple is taking meta data and corrupting my contacts.

Contact card corruption I have searched all over the web for a solution to this. I sync my contacts across Mac, iPhone and iPads. Beginning about a month ago I noticed contacts I have entered are appending a string of characters after phone numbers. I usually find this has happened by asking Siri to call someone and she doesn't have a number for them since it looks something like this: 4105551212X-image-randomstringoftext. I did find a similar problem through a search, which seemed to point at corruption through a connection to outlook.com contacts. I removed syncing from my MS account AND removed outlook app on all devices along with the passwords to connect inside iCloud. I reduced everything on all devices to only iCloud this morning, removing my employer office365 contact syncing too. I recently moved from Windows due to contact syncing problems with Android/Windows. I simply can't have this going on and don't want to move back to Windows ever. This is my only problem with the Apple ecosystem so far and otherwise I love it. This morning, another contact which I had recently added a photo to became corrupted but this time the string was added in the address field and not the phone number. Here's a screen grab. This only appears to be happening with contacts that I add photos to. This was added in the "country" box: Any ideas on how to fix this? Keep in mind I'm still a Windows/Office guy of 22+ years with extreme comfort looking under the hood of Windows...Mac, not so much at all. Corrupt Contacts · Monterey 12.4 & iOS 15.5 I purchased an iMac Pro 27” running Monterey to replace my late 2012 27” running Catalina. I’m having an issue with just a few contacts across my devices. I will delete them, re-enter them, and in 12 to 24 hours, they will revert back to missing photos and information. Attached is my contact card in my iPhone 13 Pro Max with my information. It was correct this morning and a few hours later, the photo vanishes and there is a large string of letters and numbers in the ‘country’(USA) field of my address. I have deleted these contacts and re-entered them, turned off contacts on my phone and deleted all contacts on my phone, then toggled contacts back on, I have done the following on my Mac: Opened: ~/Library/Application Support/AddressBook In that folder I deleted these three files, addressbook-v22.abcddb addressbook-v22.abcddb-wal addressbook-v22.abcddb-shm Re-opened Contacts to rebuild index. The problem persists and I do not know what else to do. I called Apple and they were of no help at all. I never had any issues of this sort before. I can go into my contact card on my iPhone 13 (v 15.5) and change my phone number label to ‘iPhone’ and in real time (about 3 seconds) it will change the label from ‘iPhone’ to ‘mobile’ on its own. I have iCloud, Exchange, and Gmail in Internet Accounts in Contacts settings on my Mac and have toggled all of the contacts ‘off’ in each account to try and isolate the issue; the problem persists. I am stumped and any corrections I make are short-lived. It will ultimately revert back to these same errors and corrupted fields in a handful of my contacts, and my own personal contact card is pretty important. Any insight on how to fix my issue would greatly be appreciated! Thank you, CS.

Contacts keeps adding back an email address with a typo in it I added an email address to a contact. It has a typo. I fix the typo. Save it. A few minutes later, the old email address with a typo comes back and the new one which is correct is also present in the contact card. PLEASE??? I just want the wrong one GONE! Help!!
