Update of third party software!

I have an iMac 27" Late 2014 currently running OS Big Sur version 11.7.10.

I have been using DraftSight Professional, which is a 2D CAD program, for several years now.

I recently upgraded from DraftSight version 2022 to DraftSight version 2024 and I am having all kinds of problems with the update, in fact I cannot use the program period.

I reached out to the support people at DraftSight and having informed them of the platform and OS that I am using, was given the instruction set that is attached below.

The problem is that I am having trouble understanding a lot of the instructions.

Is it me, or is the instruction set a little cloudy?

For example, when the instructions say to navigate to /Users/username/Library/Preferences to get to a folder named "DraftSight", I'm not quite sure how to get there.

If someone could help me with this I would be extremely grateful.

Cedric.

Wherever they say go to /Users/ [username] /Library/Preferences, you just need to go to the Finder and choose the Go menu followed by Go to Folder and enter the following including the "~" at the start:

~/Library/Preferences

In the other spots where a path starts with /Users/ [username], just replace that with "~".
