FaceTime not working again with MOTU audio interface

I had a similar issue in January 2023. I bought a new 16” MBP 128GB RAM 4 TB SSD. I have created another admin user account and also reinstalled MacOS and the issue only slightly improved. I can now use the mic from the interface but not the speakers without the mic also stopping working. However, I don’t get kicked off the FT call with immediate “Call Failed”. Any ideas how to solve this. I think it’s a security issue with FT. It doesn’t happen on Skype or QuickTime Player to record audio and video from the interface. It is only FaceTime. The interface is a MOTU 8pre-ES and all the firmware and software is up to date as is my MBP.
