Garageband sound drops to a mute at the end of editing

I'm a newbie to podcast editing in GarageBand. I've added my intro, I have the music overlay and the outro, but when I add the MP3 audio file (the podcast recording), the sound declines to a mute at the end of the recording. I tried uploading another MP3 audio file for another podcast guest and it did the same thing.

Can anyone help?

I'm currently using garageband to edit a podcast, and use the volume tool on each person who's talking to bring their sound up and down at various points (when the other is talking and don't want to hear the other persons mic). Sometimes I need to go back and edit out certain sections, when I do that and shift the clips to the left the volume adjustments don't move with it. So I then have to go through and re-edit those volume on those sections. Is there a way to get the volume adjustments to lock with the clips so they move together? Thanks!

No audio playback despite recording I recorded a podcast episode with my mic that shows it was recording, but now that I attempt playback I can't hear the track. I've tried changing my output device but none work. When I input a different track I can hear it, but not this one recorded in Garageband. I've recorded many episodes before and never had this problem. I've tried changing the main volume as well and it doesn't show anything. I exported too and still the whole mp3 was silent. Is there anything I can try?

Garageband sound issue- keeps regressing even when track Is locked Hello, I have a podcast interview to edit asap and I am losing my mind as the volume keeps regressing. I have tried locking it, but once I hit play to re-listen to the track, OR if I save it OR export to disk, it regresses. How do I fix this? Seems like a bug. Screens attached. Any help? regressed:
