CarPlay Connection Issues

I'm trying to resolve an issue I have with CarPlay, which has recently stopped working in my car. I normally connect by USB and then get the Apple CarPlay button on my dash which then enables me to use it.


Since the start of the week every time I connect my phone nothing happens, except charging. Things I’ve tried include:

  1. making sure Siri is on
  2. making sure content restrictions is turned on and CarPlay is enabled
  3. tried various USB cables including my Apple one
  4. restarted my iPhone on multiple occasions
  5. used “forget this car” under CarPlay


since I’ve removed “my car” from CarPlay it has never appeared again under the settings no matter what I try. Tried Bluetooth on and off, WiFi on and off, engine and radio on before plugging phone in, engine off and radio off.


Is there anything else i can try that I maybe missing
