How do I connect my MacBook Air M2 directly to the router?

I have a MacBook Air M2. I want to connect it directly to my router (in other words, not use wireless). Can I do this? And if so, what cord do I need to buy (and is there a port to plug it into???).

Thanks!

The adaptor plugs into an open USB-C port on your MBA.

You’ll then need the usual Cat-5 or Cat-6 Ethernet cable to connect to your networking device’s ethernet port.

This cable can be as long as you need. (up to 100m)
