iMacs only have a small lithium coin cell PRAM clock battery. I'm not aware of any way (or need to) check its battery percentage.

Are you possibly asking about checking the battery levels of the mouse or keyboard? if so, click the Bluetooth icon in the menu bar or go to Apple menu > System Settings > Bluetooth.

I am assuming you purchased either a MacBook Air or a MacBook Pro. If you did please refer to Check the condition of your Mac laptop’s battery - Apple Support

Please read both FoxFifth's and my posts completely as both could be correct.

When posting it is ALWAYS wise to tell us exactly which Mac you own including:

  • Model Year
  • Model (Mac mini, iMac, Mac Pro, Mac Studio, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro etc..)
  • Version of Mac OS currently installed.

You can find all of this information by clicking the Apple symbol in the upper left of the display and then click About this Mac.
