Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
A few days ago, I received $30 into Apple Pay from somebody I don’t know. They alerted me to the error and asked by that I send the money back. I am being very cautious just in case this is a new kind of scam. Is there any reason I shouldn’t send the money? Can this person gain any of my personal financial information if I send the $30 back?
That’s Apple Cash, not Apple Pay. Almost certainly a scam.

For future reference, you might consider turning AppleCash’s Auto Accept “off.”

Thanks. I did call and has all been resolved. I appreciate the tip about setting receive to manual. I did not know there were two options there.
