Apple card Savings and external account linking

Hey all, I was just reading a similar question regarding this topic about logging into the Apple Card savings from the web. I understand that the Savings account is accessible through the Wallet app only. However, a routing number and account number are provided for the case of linking to another bank for transfers.

My question is, I linked my Apple Card savings based on the account number and routing number provided in the account info in Truist's external account section. What I need to know is, will I be able to view the deposits sent to the account through wallet for account verification? I've successfully linked to all current bank accounts from Wallet, but wanted to link to this account from the other banks as well, so I can send money to it from the other bank interfaces. I just wanted to make sure I was going to be able to see the trial deposits into that account from wallet for verification.

Thanks

All deposits and withdrawals from an Apple Savings account are visible in the Apple Card in the Wallet app on your iPhone. On an iPad, the deposits and withdrawals are visible in the Wallet app in Settings app.

This seems to be an issue on the Truist side. I have my Chase, Wells, 5/3, and Regions accounts all linked to Apple Savings account. I can push or pull transfers.

Another option would be to call an Apple Savings specialist and go through a voice verification between Goldman Sachs and Truist. Some banks will do voice verification and some won’t.

Just posting a followup. Look like I can't link my Apple Card savings as one of my eternal accounts for Truist. While I did see the two micro deposits in Wallet, this morning I received an email from the Truist system saying verification failed because the account can't accept transfers. I was under the impression I was able to put money into the account from an external source. However it sounds like, it only works through the Wallet App to pull from an external account vs sending to from an external account via that bank's interface. If Apple Card Savings can be linked, and I simply made a mistake in how I did it please let me know. I did it the same way I would any other account. I copied and pasted the routing and account numbers from Wallet, for that account into the add account interface for Truist, then set the account type to savings. It was identified correctly as an account from Goldman Sachs Bank USA. If there is anything I missed, or if i can only deposit money through apple wallet vs sending from the other bank let me know.

Thanks Jeff, I just added the account as an external account to chase as well. Copied the routing and account numbers. They also said they must verify the account with deposits. So hopefully this will work. I use Chase as my main bank now over Truist as they don't have any branches in Louisiana, while Chase does. I also have the GS number in the email I received from Apple Card support regarding the unsuccessful verification.

OK, I called my contact at Truist and see if she can help me sort this out with them since their deposits showed up, and will also call GS if needed. Truist used to be BB&T, then they merged with SunTrust. When I linked my Truist Savings account, apple had to verify that, and that worked without issues, so hopefully it's something simple so I can have the Apple Savings linked to both banks. Will post what I find out, and will also let other reads know in case they might run into the same issues.
