160 GB Classic 98.1 GB free, but theres nothing on it except three (preinstalled??) games

2011 iMac High Sierra 10.13.6 so that might have something to do with it. Synched successfully though iTunes until a couple of years ago, with the music on an external hard drive. Now the Mac doesn't always recognise the iPod in Finder or iTunes, and if it does, prompts me to Recover it.

Looking at Settings on the iPod I see No Music, No Videos, No Videos, No Podcasts, and through Extras I see No Contacts, but Three Games, which I didn't know about and which have never been played.

I expect it won't ever have 160 GB of storage space, but 60 GB for three games????
