How much damage can dropping an iPad cause?

I I have often fallen asleep and my IPad has fallen from my hands and dropped on floor. What damage would this do to it ?

Somewhere between no damage at all and causing the

iPad to become unusable. There is no way to tell in

advance which drop will be fatal; the only certainty is

that the more drops the iPad experiences, the more

likely it will become non-functioning.

A heavy-duty protective case may help, but will not

alleviate all damage.

Best practice is when feel tired, put your iPad aside safely.
