Assistance with Camera focus issues

I am a totally blind IPhone user with an IPhone SE 2020. I have had trouble completing the steps to verify my ID for sites that require it. After working for about two hours to focus my ID card and my face to take a clear selfy, I gave up. Are there any other blind users who might be able to offer pointers?
