Alerts for both iPhone and apple watch

If you are asking if you can have an alert on your iPhone and your watch at the same time, you can't. You can certainly have alerts configured to be tones on one device and haptics on the other, but you can't get alerts on both devices at the same time. The way Apple engineered notifications to happen is if the iPhone is active, alerts are delivered to your iPhone. If the iPhone screen is locked, notifications are delivered to your Apple Watch. They will NOT be delivered to both at the same time and this is by design.

You can try and mirror your iPhones settings to your watch, that is the way I have it set up

WIth that being said, why the heck did they do that? I’m sure there is a reason but there are so many times where I don’t feel the light buzz on my wrist and texts go unanswered for hours. I want the buzz and the audible text noise via phone. That seems logical, what am I missing here?
