Hi, i'm currently using an ATV 4k 2022 on a TCL 55C645. I'm not having big problems with DV and HDR, but i wanted to try SDR as anyone is saying that is the best format for much contents. When i put SDR in (every quality and every fps), it just shows me a black screen, i can't do anything but pressing any key that would simply put the previous format on. Any suggestions or something to try?

Hmm, while I think that it should work fine if all settings stay the same except for changing HDR to SDR, here are some things to try: If your Apple TV isn't working, won't turn on, or shows a black screen - Apple Support.
Especially the ‘Check Video Resolution’ part has a procedure to find a compatible setting using the remote button combination Menu + Volume Down.

The same here, with 55C635 and 55C655. Tested with V4xx, V5xx, V6xx, V700 and V999b3 firmwares…
If I set ATV 4K (2021 and 2022 models) on HDR “always on” all SDR contents give me black screen.
If I set ATV on SDR and go play HDR contents os all right but, when I go back to desktop, I have black screen. In this case The only solution is restart the TV.
Incredible!!! 2 years and The problem is still here.
PS: the C635 works fine only with V4xx firmware (I use V496)
I think it’s a Dolby vision problem, because it appears on the screen when I put SDR. I saw that changing the hdmi port solve the problem, but when I change to Dolby vision the problem start again. It’s a Tcl software problem and I think it’s never going to be solved.
