fingerprint readers work with Macs? I have my MacBook Pro in a raised and I use a separate keyboard. The only this I need the Mac's keyboard for is the fingerprint button, and it's quite a stretch. I'd like to find a fingerprint reader than can be plugged into a cable from the computer. THere are plenty of them but they all say they are for Windows. Are there any that work with the Mac?

Password required over fingerprint hours after using Macbook Air I'm having this constant annoying issue where when I come back to my MacBook Air it requires I type out my password instead of using my fingerprint. The only information I've found online about it suggests this happens when you haven't used the laptop in more than a day or so. Well I just tested this out after using my laptop less than 10 hours ago and I have to enter my password. I had to enter my password when I used it yestrerday as well. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to this password requirement. How can I deactivate this feature permanently? I never want to enter my password over the fingerprint unless there is some security issue or my laptop was turned off. Otherwise, what is the purpose in the fingerprint scan if it's never going to work?
