MacBook Pro A1989 screen issue - blacks show up as bright green.

I’m having a degenerative issue with the display on my MacBook Pro model A1989. A couple of weeks ago, the darkest black color would show up as bright green. At first, this only showed up at certain screen opening angles. Over time, this has progressed so that a range of colors from dark grays to black show up as a range of bright greens. This is also now always happening regardless of screen opening angle. Anyone experienced something similar?

Sounds like a hardware issue with the laptop's built-in Display Assembly. Take a screenshot and view the screenshot on another device. If the screenshot does not show the problem, then it is confirmed. You can also try connecting an external display and enable mirroring to see if the issue is also shown on the external display. If the external display looks good, you have again confirmed the built-in Display Assembly has a hardware issue.
