Repeated issue of IPad turning on at night, even if Do Not Disturb is on

[3rd times the charm]

So what’s the issue?

For some reason once a week for the last 5 weeks, my IPad has been doing this really weird bug. It sort of just turns on in the middle of the night but not fully, it’s just the lockscreen but missing the time and it’s a lot more dim than usual. I press the power on button and it turns on normally, then I turn it off which then it goes back to normal. That’s it.

What’s causing it? Is there a pattern?

I have no idea, the first time it happened was on a Tuesday, then three Wednesday’s in a row, then today on Monday, so it’s unknown. I thought it might’ve been due to notifications but Do Not Disturb was on, it shouldn’t have turned on, even slightly.

As you can probably tell I’ve already reported this on here a few times, no answers, so if no one replies to this with anything, I honestly give up. Please help.

This happens to me on the iphone since the last update. I put it on do not disturb when I go to sleep, and when I wake up in the morning, the screen is on with notifications on it, but you can't see the time or my wallpaper. But once I click the power button the rest of the screen turns on and the time and wallpaper appear, but the notifications are left there. The solution can't just be to "turn it off". It's clearly an issue and that needs resolving. I need my phone on for my alarm, but also in the case if anyone from my favourite contacts is trying to reach me.

It's not good for the screen to just be on constantly. Also, this has been happening for me everyday since I updated a week ago

Do Not Disturb does not prevent notifications from being delivered or accepted, it just prevents them from generating any sort of alert. But the app that accepts the notification is launched briefly to save it, and it is added to the Notification page so you can see it when you next turn on the iPad. This will turn on the screen briefly. If you just ignore it the screen will turn off on its own after a few seconds.

I’ve answered this recently in another thread; it might have been a post from you if you have asked previously. And the answer is the same now as it was then.
