The iCloud+ family plan isn’t working even though I’m using it

My regular 64gb of storage was full, so I was added to the family plan with 2T of storage. It says I’m using it, but it still won’t allow me to use certain apps because my storage is full. I can’t take pictures, mail, etc. But I’m using iCloud+ via family plan so I don’t know what’s wrong with it.

iPhone SE, iOS 17

The 64GB of storage is your device's local storage capacity. It ha nothing to do with iCloud.

Apps would use your devices local storage capacity not iCloud storage.

Buying more iCloud storage will not affect your devices local storage in any way.

If your device is low on local storage space, then you need to delete photos, videos apps, and other content from your iPhone to free up space.
