Any privacy settings yet for CarPlay? It’s basically giving your passengers your phone unlocked. New cars force you to use CarPlay now.

  1. It does not give access to your phone. Only the subset of apps that appear on the car's screen.
  2. Why do you have passengers you don't trust with this? When I'm using Car Play, I have my close family and friends with me not strangers, so I see no issue why the cannot interact with CarPlay for the maps or music even.
  3. Do people that get in your car just start playing with your car play screen without your permission?
  4. Do you really want to have to unlock Carplay with a password anytime you need to use it while driving? Seems a bit dangerous. What are you afraid of exactly?
