IOS updates to fix bugs and Factory Resets
I am new to iPhones, so please bear with me. I got the new iPhone 15 Pro Max, but there are a lot of bugs. On an Android, if they fixed a bug and your phone automatically installed the fix or a new version, you did not have to do a Factory Reset, which wipes the phone clean. Is it normal for a bug fix to do a Factory Reset each time Apple installs a fix? I reset this phone once when I first got it, and a new IOS version with a supposed fix came out. My phone still has many of the same problems, and others also have them. Apple told me I needed to do another factory reset to see if it "would" fix my phone. I don't want to. It took me a long time to set this phone up, and now I have photos and info on the phone and will have to back up to the cloud or iTunes; there is a lot I probably don't need to keep but don't have the time to go through it all right now and delete, plus somehow my contacts were duplicated and some quadruplicated! I have been slowly deleting them as I find them. For me, being an ill person and struggling to get things done as it is.....this is just one more thing I don't need. So, is this a normal for Apple? Am I looking at resetting phones in the future to get the updates and fixes to work? If so, that just isn't going to work for me. I need them to install and fix it without me having to wipe my phone clean. What a headache. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.
