iMessage only showing the first letter of text messages since updating to iOS 17 (currently running 17.4.1)

I have learned that if I turn my phone sideways I am able to view the whole conversation but when I return it to the upright position it is still only the first letter.

I’m having the same issue. Sometimes it doesn’t correct when I close out and go back in. I have even powered off and it’s still showing just the first letter. Very annoying!

Mine too! I found that when I make my font size smaller, the entire text shows. Just need a magnifying glass!!!

I was going to remove the last update and Apple apparently has removed that option as well now.

-at the bottom your latest version

-open it and there is no “delete update” option.

I have a 15 Pro Max. Im experiencing the same issue after the update and I agree - this is something that Apple needs to address asap given the number of users who use text for business as well as personal use.

I'm having the same issue. Is there any update from anyone at Apple about this problem? I see lots of people with the problem but no advice how to fix it?

changing the default text size is a major issue for those of us with vision limitations/disabilities. And anyone over age 40. Not a joke

Weird and it worked for me just now when I tried this...thanks for tip and I hope this gets fixed soon...super annoying.

Changing the default text size or bolding the text should remedy the problem.
