Move iPhone backups to new iMac user

I've been told to create a new user by Apple and copy my files across (and then nuke the old user). How do I copy my iPhone backups across to the new user?

iPhone backup and Time Machine The iPhone backup to the Mac gets stored in the user Library in Application Support/Mobile Sync. Time Machine backs up the data volumes for the drive. I'm presuming that includes the user Library folder. The user Library folder can't be seen on the drive, nor can it be accessed from the Time Machine application. Perhaps my presumption is wrong and the user Library is not backed up by Time Machine. If it is, how can it be accessed? The Library access seems to be restricted to migration, but this would only use the latest version. Could anyone explain what's going on here, and how the user can get to dated versions of iPhone backups? Thanks very much.

iPhone and Mac Air Backup on icloud As our iphone is backup on icloud and when we put our id to new phone all setting and data restore automatically to new device. My question is when we use Mac too with the same id as iphone, can we restore our new mac through icloud? restore all data and setting?

Problem of backuping to a computer Hello my wife has an existing Ipad and Iphone fully set up, having an apple ID, signed in, being used for a year but when I want to get a backup to Mac or a PC I’m notified as they are new. And been asked to set up as a new Ipad/Iphone or restore from an existing backup. No choice of backup shown up. thx Bulent

Locate the backup folder on your Mac, then copy the whole folder to the same location in the user account you have created on the Mac:

Locate backups of your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

Or copy the folder to a USB stick, change the user account on your Mac and copy it from the stick to the the location.
