Can you sort a song to multiple artists individually so it appears under each performer?

I searched for this answer and the one selected as being definitive is this: No. You can only sort a song to one artist. That is true, but I have found a workaround. Here it is: make a different copy for each artist. Here's how you do it.

Go to File -> Convert -> Create AAC version

Selecting "Create AAC version" will create a copy of the song. Both copies will sort to the same artist. Go into one copy's "Song Info" by right-clicking the song title, then select "Song Info". Now click the Tab on the top labeled "Sorting." From there, go down to the field called "sort as" and enter the name of the other artist you wish the song to be sorted to. Now both artists will have a copy of the song and the song will appear under each artists' play list. If you search the song, both artists will be listed, and you can choose. You can create additional copies and sort them to other artists. The play count for that song, however, will only refer to the plays on each copy, not the total of all plays for all copies of the same song... You may play a song x times for one artist and y times for the other. The play count will not be x + y.
