Apple Pencil Not Working

Purchased Gen 1 Apple Pencil 7 months ago, and it has suddenly stopped working. I have tried

  • Forgetting and repairing the stylus
  • Taking the nib off then screwing it back on snuggly
  • Updating Ipad
  • Hard resetting Ipad
  • Turning bluetooth off and back on
  • Warming up the stylus
  • Charging the stylus overnight
  • Checking the stylus firmware
  • Checking if dust accumulated inside the nib ( it was clean )


The pencil has not been dropped and the transducer is in its original condition. What now???

Given that it's only 7 months old, I'd take it back to the store. I expect they'll replace it at no charge given that it still covered under the limited warranty and it just stopped working.
