My husband has music on his old iPod he would like to add to his music on our new Mac. I realize he should have backed it up, but....! Is there any way to do this? I am alright with paying for an app if needed. Our new computer is a Mac Apple M3 and the operation system is Sonoma 14.4.1. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you :)

If he still has his old mac read these docs Move your iTunes library to a new computer - Apple Community
Move your iTunes library to another computer - Apple Support
If he doesn't have it, then 3rd party apps like touch copy and imazing will allow you to export data from pod to mac.
