Unfortunately, on iPhones with iOS 17 (as of today, April 25, 2024), there is no built-in way to completely separate the volume settings for ringtones and alarms. However, there are a few workarounds you can try to achieve a similar effect on your iPhone 13:

1. Use Separate Ringer and Silent Mode:

  • Set your desired lower volume level for the alarm sound.

  • Before going to sleep, activate Silent Mode on your iPhone. This will silence all incoming calls and notifications while still allowing your alarm to play at the pre-set lower volume.

  • In the morning, deactivate Silent Mode to hear your ringtones and notifications again.

2. Schedule Do Not Disturb Mode with Silent Mode:

  • You can schedule Do Not Disturb mode to activate automatically during your sleep hours.

  • Within Do Not Disturb settings, you can allow calls from specific contacts (like favorites) to come through with sound or vibration while silencing all other calls and notifications.

  • This mode can be paired with Silent Mode to ensure a completely silent environment except for allowed calls (assuming you don't set an allowed emergency contact who might call with a very loud ringtone).

3. Explore AssistiveTouch Options (Limited Use):

  • AssistiveTouch creates an on-screen virtual button that can be used for various functions, including volume control.

  • While not ideal, you could set your alarm volume and then use AssistiveTouch to quickly adjust the ringer volume before going to sleep and again in the morning. This is less convenient than a dedicated solution but might be helpful in a pinch.

Future iOS Updates:

  • Apple might consider adding separate volume controls for ringtones and alarms in future iOS updates. You can keep an eye on official Apple announcements or news regarding iOS 18 or later versions to see if this feature is implemented.

Alternative Alarm Apps:

  • Some third-party alarm apps might offer separate volume controls for ringtones and alarms. However, be cautious when installing third-party apps and only download them from trusted sources like the App Store.

While none of these solutions are a perfect replacement for separate volume controls, they can help you achieve a similar outcome. Hopefully, a future iOS update might address this limitation entirely.

Sorry! Hope it helps.
