YouTube Premium

I was paying for YouTube through Apple, paying $18.99 a month. I recently found out YouTube premium is only $13.99/month. Why does Apple charge an extra 36%- I understand a tax- but I was hoping for some justification for the price difference.

When you subscribe to services like YouTube Premium through Apple's App Store, Apple typically charges a commission fee to developers or service providers for using their platform for distribution and billing. This fee can contribute to the higher cost of the subscription compared to subscribing directly through the service provider's website.
