Switched from Verizon to Visible (MVNO) - Group Texts not working if non-iPhone is in the group

We switched from Verizon to Visible. Not able to get proper service through the eSIM, Visible sent a physical SIM to be switched out. ALMOST everything worked. Most of our family has iPhone devices, with a couple of hard-core (fun) contributors. If the group text is an iPhone group using iMessage, there are no problems. Add an Android and then all replies to the group text become individual messages to the newly ported iPhone.

Things I've tried that have worked for others:

1) Reset Networks: Settings -> General -> Transfer or Reset iPhone -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings

2) Re-inserted the new Visible SIM card.

3) Backed up the phone, reset to factory default, and restored the data.

I can't bad-mouth Visible's customer support, they've stuck with me in trying things. The last thing they did was re-provision the connection, asking me to check back in a couple of days so that they could track the data. I'll call back in 2-3 days as our family does a lot of group texts.

On other Apple Community forums, some have reported that the issue has self-corrected. Others have pointed to the carrier, while others point to Apple.

The phone is Verizon unlocked iPhone 12 mini running iOS 17.4.1. Plenty of availble memory. I would appreciate any thoughts or suggestions.

WE GOT THIS FIGURED OUT!!!

We noticed that if we tried to send a photo to an Android, the iPhone displayed an "Enable MMS" error, even though MMS message was enabled in the Messages submenu in Settings. The solution is to RESET ALL SETTINGS. On this iPhone 12 mini running iOS 17.4.1, go to SETTINGS -> GENERAL -> RESET -> RESET ALL SETTINGS

We had to re-establish WiFi passwords and some other settings, but the group messaging can include Androids with no anomoles. Have a great day!!!
