Iphone 12 MIC issue

 


I am writing this email to

report an issue with my iPhone 12 purchased on Nov 23, 2021 from Croma(Infiniti

Retail Limited). This phone has been assembled in India and the date of

manufacture is October 2021.


 


I had the first issue with my

mobile on 28th Dec 22 wherein it ran out of battery stopped working

and could not be charged. So immediately I took it to the Apple authorized

service center– Future World Anna Nagar and they inspected it and said that the

mobile had to be replaced. I was shocked by their statement and appealed to the

Apple Support Team. I spent days together in conversation with the support team

to get it inspected again and they found the issue and agreed to get it repaired

and replace the requisite part the new serial number is HH2JF00R0F0X. It was

working fine until 16/04/2024.

12 was that when I receive calls the caller can hear me

but I was able to hear the caller only when it was set on speakerphone. So I

took my mobile to yet another authorized service center – I Care

_TTK Road Chennai. I deposited Rs 800 for inspection and they came up saying

that the issue was in the MIC and the display had to be replaced completely and

the approximate cost was Rs 27k. I came back home with the mobile and raised to

the Apple Support Team.

I have been talking to 4/5

Support team person and nobody has been able to help me. Most surprising is

that after 10 days of follow-up, they are back at square one stating that it is

out of warranty they are helpless and say that I will have to bear the cost. You

could track how many members of the Support team I have spoken and they only

grabbed my patience and time.

 


Apple iPhone 12 is the only mobile

that is a misfit in my family.  My

brother continues to hold his iPhone 7 and 10 in working condition and My

husband has his iPhone 12 Max Pro still going strong. I am wondering if I was

one of the unlucky few who have the parts built in India.


 


 


Can you please review this and

confirm how you can repair or replace this phone with a good one free of cost?


 


I would appreciate a quick

response. Additionally, I  can also

provide this phone to you for detailed failure analysis that can help ensure

other customers like me do not face these types of issues tarnishing Apple's

reputation as a world leader in cell phone design, manufacturing, and

technology.
