Transferring data from old MacBook to new one but getting it enough space message
Have a MacBook Pro from about 2019 & I’m trying to transfer the data to a new one. It says there is not enough space … what do I do?

Did you check how much disk space you had filled on your 2019 MBP, and compare it to the storage size of your new MBP? It sounds to me as if your new Mac has a smaller amount of storage than your old one.
So you have a few of options:
- If your new Mac is less than 14 days old you can return it for a full refund, then order another one with a larger amount of storage.
- Don't transfer everything from your old Mac. Migration assistant allows you to choose what you want to transfer, as per this Apple Support article: Transfer to a new Mac with Migration Assistant - Apple Support.
- Free up some disk space on your old MBP, then try transferring again. Free up storage space - Apple Support
